I’m Calogero Bonasia. Kàlos to those who have known me longest.
I design processes and digital systems by observing how people work and understanding their needs. I help them choose a way of working that suits their context.
My expertise spans military telecommunications and the organisation of knowledge within companies, and includes applying DevOps practices and the Disciplined Agile approach.
I write to explore problems I encounter in practice and compare my interpretations with other people’s experiences and the research I read. I begin by hand, in a notebook: rereading helps me recognise what I have taken for granted, memories that need checking and ideas that are still unclear.
Archaeoastronomy and amateur radio are two of my passions. The former interests me for what it reveals about how ancient people observed the sky and measured time. Radio taught me to distinguish a voice in the noise.
